Marla's Gimme a Minute

I Only Need 60 Seconds!

Hi. I’m Marla.  Gimme a Minute.  I wanna talk to you about gratitude.

If someone is grateful, they show gratitude. So when I’m thankful, I should show Thankitude, right?

A wise person once said, ok, it was Oprah, anyway, years ago on her show she said, to wake up each day and think about five things you are grateful for. Or was it one? Doesn’t matter. My five are family, friends, food on the table, fun in my life and Fridays. Yes, Friday. If you know me, whether I’m drinking coffee tea or wine, I always toast to Friday.

Today, I want to tell you about other acts of kindness I’m grateful and thankful for.

I’m grateful to whatever power there is in the universe that enables me to wake up every morning with a smile on my face, greet a family I love, go to a job that I love, and live in a place that I love.

I’m grateful to be part of a family with relatively little drama and lots of comedy.

I’m grateful for the people in my community who do the work they do, and live the way they do, to make Bellingham a place I’m proud to show off to visitors.

I’m forever grateful and thankful for the friends and family in my life who were able to step forward to help me in my times of need.

This Minute is dedicated to you, to show my gratitude and thankitude, in awe of your kindness towards me for letting me be here, on this most beautiful day.
