Hi I’m Marla. Gimme a Minute. I wanna talk to you about the Claire.
AKA Clare VG Thomas Theater. And before that, The Queen Julianna Theater.
The Claire is the home of the Lynden Performing Arts Guild, a non-profit community theatre group that has been operating non-stop since 1987, thanks to, in no small part, Claire VG Thomas.
Patrons from Centrailia, to British Columbia enjoy Four – sometimes five – shows a year in this intimate 150 seat theatre. The season includes a mix of comedies, dramas, musicals, and Family friendly fare. All of the shows maintain a high production value and include spectacular performances.
The Claire relies on a talented, dedicated corps of Whatcom County volunteers who assist with Advertising, marketing, promotion, ticket sales, set design and building, costumes, lighting, props, managing the house – not to mention directing and acting.
The board and volunteer staff of the Claire is committed to provide the community with quality, fun, thought-provoking, and memorable entertainment. Everyone is welcome to help behind the scenes or step out into that ‘white-hot spotlight.’
Performance dates and times are listed on the website and Facebook, you’ll see the links at the end of this Minute. Tickets can be purchased before the show at the box office, which is also open for walk in or phone in sales, Tuesdays through Fridays from 1-3. The Claire is located in Lynden in the newly remodeled Dutch Village Mall on Front Street.
I’m Marla. Thanks for Listening. See ya at the Claire.
