A Family Recipe

It’s been a long time since I posted a new minute here..but I HAVE been busy…my first (and only…so far) solo show…see if you can find the FIVE minutes stuck in here!

 

 

GIMME A MINUTE – If you give your dog a dolphin

If you give your dog a dolphin

He will surely want to sniff it

And when he tries to sniff it

He might fall into the water

And if he likes to swim

He may stay in the water for a little while

And play with the dolphin

And the sight might make you smile

And when he is playing with the dolphin

Some boaters may float by

And see the dog and the dolphin playing nicely

And the sight might make them smile

So they might call the newspapers

Because they never saw that before

And the newspaper editors may come and take a look

And when he sees the dog and the dolphin

He may have an idea

And call the circus

And if the circus people come

They might watch the dog and dolphin play for a while

And the sight might make them smile

And because what they love to do

(Being from the circus)

Is to make lots and lots of people smile

They might want to take the dolphin with them

And they will promise to feed it

And keep it safe

For a long, long time

So you may get sad

But let them know they can take the dolphin

And then your dog will be lonely

And you may feel bad

And you will want to do something nice for your dog

Like get him a dolphin

And if you give your dog a dolphin,

He will surely want to sniff it.

 

Gimme a Minute – If You Give Your Dad a French Fry

If you give your father a French fry

He will surely want to dip it in something

And if he’s going to dip it in something

You will need a plate to put it on

And you’d need to get a big plate

Because you will want to share with him

So you’d get lots of condiments to choose from

Like Ketchup

And mayonnaise

And mustard

And salt

And relish

And maple Syrup

And melted cheese

Any maybe you will try all of these on your French fries

Or maybe not

But if you do

You might discover that you like all of them

A LOT

And if you eat all of them

You might get a tummy ache

And you might need to go to bed

And when you get up in the morning.

You will probably feel a whole lot better

And you might even be hungry

And your dad might be hungry too

And your dad may ask if there are any French fries left

And if you give your dad a French fry

He will surely want to dip it in something
